Steve Callan, CPA, Founder/Owner
Steve grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. After graduating from San Diego State University, he moved back to the Bay area where he began working for a regional accounting firm. In the early 80’s he discovered Bend and moved his family to the small-town life where he worked for a local CPA firm, and then started his own firm in 1982. Steve not only provides expertise in traditional areas of accounting but also strives to help business owners become better leaders and more successful in their own endeavors. He is active in Rotary International where he is a past president of the Bend Rotary Club. He is on the Board of Directors at Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic, is a past president of Central Oregon Estate Planning Council, is on the board of the Central Oregon Community College Foundation, and is active in other fund raising for local charity groups. Steve is married to Johnita and they have six children and 14 grandchildren together. Steve likes to practice Yoga, and, golf any chance he can get!
Angela S. Hubler, CPA, Owner
Angie is an owner/member of Callan Accounting CPAs & Advisors, as of August 2013. She graduated from Portland State University and has been an associate with Callan Accounting since 2000. She specializes in tax preparation for individuals and businesses, small business accounting, and estate and trust work. Angie enjoys exploring the Central Oregon outdoors hiking, backpacking, and cross-country skiing.
Derek Holdredge, CPA, Owner
Derek is an owner/member of Callan Accounting CPAs & Advisors, as of January 1, 2016. He grew up in the Dallas, Texas area and is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Derek joined our staff in June 2015 and has over 20 years of professional accounting experience. He is the son of a Certified Public Accountant and started preparing and providing accounting services in high school. He works with individuals and businesses in tax planning, tax preparation and additional accounting services. Derek is the current Finance Chair at Grace First Lutheran Church and has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the KIDS center in the past. Derek enjoys skiing, camping, hiking and spending time with his wife and two girls.
Laurie Wolfley, Small Business Specialist, Owner
Laurie became an owner/member as of January 1, 2016. Laurie joined us in January of 2014 and has continued to build our BOSS program with her extensive experience helping small businesses in industries such as retail, construction, medical and manufacturing. Laurie has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the complexities of small business accounting and is a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online. Laurie enjoys spending time with her family, and enjoys golfing, fly fishing, camping and exploring all that Bend has to offer.
Jordan Diefendorf, CPA
Jordan graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She began in public accounting in early 2011 and went to work for a large firm in Bellingham, Washington where she specialized in tax for businesses and individuals. Jordan joined Callan Accounting in September 2012 and is excited to be able to work with small business owners on their tax and accounting issues. She enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with her husband and two young children.
Jackie Monda, CPA, Senior Tax Specialist
Jackie graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She spent several years working for public accounting firms in Nevada, Wyoming, and California before joining our firm in 2015. Jackie is a Senior Tax Specialist and has extensive experience assisting individuals and small businesses with tax matters, monthly and annual accounting, and financial statements. She enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, hiking, biking and exploring the region.
Johnita M. Callan, CFO/Marketing Director
Johnita has been in public accounting since 1989 after working in the construction industry and is the firm’s CFO and Marketing Director. Johnita is married to Steve and together they have six grown children and 14 grandchildren. She loves cooking and entertaining, decorating and gardening.
Claudia Davis, Staff Accountant
Claudia joined our team in 2013 as a Staff Accountant. She has extensive knowledge and experience working with a large variety of small businesses. She excels at advising and resolving her client’s accounting questions while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. She received her Business Administration degree from San Jose State University and has been a QuickBooks Proadvisor since 2005. She loves to travel, and spending time with her children and two grandchildren. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy rode biking, kayaking and many other outdoor activities that Central Oregon has to offer.
Jordan A. Lanigan, CPA
Jordan graduated from Southern Oregon University with a degree in Economics, and also earned an Associate degree in Accounting from Central Oregon Community College. She has been in public accounting since 2015. Jordan works with individuals and businesses preparing tax returns and providing accounting services, and also performs accounting for trust and estate clients. In her free time, Jordan enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, traveling and spending time with her two sons.
Sarah Herbert, Office Manager
Sarah joined our team in 2016 as our receptionist and front desk ambassador and now keeps us all moving smoothly as our Office Manager. Sarah is married to her husband, Steve. They have a construction business, and, are the owners of Central Oregon Chicken Coops. They have three children–Blake, Samantha, and Ashlynn. Sarah loves spending time with her family, camping, hiking, and running!
Susie Rabiah, MBA, Staff Accountant
Having joined the firm in 2019, Susie is the newest member to join the Callan Team. Susie grew up in the Midwest and began her career by spending the first 12 years in the Big “6” in Cleveland, Ohio working first on the audit side of the business and then on the tax side and eventually developing expertise in multi-state taxation. She then ventured into industry by serving in multiple roles including business owner, business analyst and financial controller for various organizations. In her spare time, Susie enjoys staying active with her family and friends… especially in a pool, on the bike, or in the mountains
Emma, Chief Paw-sident
Emma is Claudia’s sweet dog that visits the office several days a week. She is a stress reducer and our clients absolutely love her.
