Matthew P. Goette, CFA, CFP®, AIF® - Partner

Matt is a partner of the firm and focuses on financial planning, estate planning and wealth accumulation strategies for clients.  Previously, Matt was a senior investment professional in the Venture Capital Group of Harbert Management Corporation where he invested a $52 million fund in early-stage technology and healthcare companies. Prior to joining Harbert, Matt spent five years with Jefferies & Company, Inc. in their Investment Banking Group. While at Jefferies, he helped orchestrate numerous merger and acquisition, restructuring, equity, and debt transactions. Prior to joining Jefferies, he worked in the Investment Banking Group of BB&T Corporation.

Matt is also the founder and president of Black Diamond Financial, a wealth management firm focused on advising high-net-worth individuals and institutions on optimal asset allocation, tax efficient investment strategies and financial planning.  Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in finance and economics from The College of William and Mary, where he graduated with High Honors. Matt is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, Accredited Investment Fiduciary and member of the CFA Society of Baltimore.
